There was dancing, martial arts, cosplay contests, and most importantly Shapies were made. Earlier this month the Shapify Booth was lucky enough to attend the first NorthWest Comic Fest in Salem, Oregon.
If you were anywhere near the second floor stage at the Salem Convention Center there is a good chance you saw our booth lighting up the room. Some of you might be wondering, what is the Shapify Booth?
The Shapify Booth is a 3D scanning booth that allows people to step up and get a full body scan in whatever they’re wearing in only 12 seconds. The scan then uploads into our computer and a full 3D model is rendered and available for preview in just five minutes. Once the model upload is complete they are then 3D printed and a Shapie is born.
We have four different size Shapies available for printing and it doesn’t always have to be a solo situation, groups are more than welcome in the Shapify Booth.
Over the two day event we were honored to scan amazing people such as Iron Man, Master Chief, and Marty Mcfly. Those who stepped in the booth in cosplay ended up with some amazing scans.
The Shapify Booth is the perfect tool for cosplayers who want a lasting memory of their Comic Fest experience. We know all the hard work that goes into creating your favorite character, so get a 3D printed figure of you as your favorite character so you will remember your Comic Fest experience forever.
You are not limited to only purchasing a 3D custom Shapie figurine. For the enthusiasts who have their own 3D printer or data editing program, the 3D scan data is also available for purchase.
For those who ordered at the event, we have been delivering the 3D printed figures. An awesome Master Chief Shapie was one of our favorites around the office. Our NorthWest Comic Fest experience was only two days long which seemed to fly by. However, we are lucky enough to be attending the Rose City Comic Con on September 19th. We are excited to scan more amazing cosplayers and contribute to their Comic Con experience.
Custom action figures, anyone?
